Clavinodum    The rhizomes are moderately invasive but easily checked. 

- oedogonatum Culms slender, dark purple-green, zig-zag and arching at the top. Leaves medium, dark green. 1.5-3m high.

 

Drepanostachyum  -  bamboos from high altitudes. They are tender, needing shade and shelter. Numerous branches and thin textured leaves. Clump forming with non-invasive rhizomes. They grow to 3-5m high.

- falcatum Culms medium, glossy green, arching at the top. Leaves small and very elegant. Not particularly hardy.
- falconeri Culms medium, deep glossy green, with a purple stain under each node. Leaves small. Very graceful.
- hookerianum Culms medium, yellow with many green stripes, tinted pink or red in sunlight. Leaves small, with occasional cream stripes.
- microphyllum Culms medium, dark green and glossy, maturing to purple. Leaves very small to small. An exceptionally graceful bamboo.
